Marvel Reveals 7 New 'Star Wars' Variant Covers for Pride

Marvel and Star Wars are coming out with a whole new line of LGBTQ+ variant comic covers to celebrate Pride month, and we’re already absolutely loving these looks.
Although the Star Wars movies have been reluctant to become inclusive when it come to sexuality and gender identity, the comics, novels, and even animated series have done a little bit better, and now fans get to see those characters celebrated. Seven issues are getting the Pride re-release treatment, with all of the new covers drawn by LGBTQ+ artists and featuring beloved LGBTQ+ characters such as Doctor Aphra and Zeen Mrala.
Notably, there are no queer men on any of the covers, showing that Star Wars still has a way to go even when it comes to comics.
Still, the Pride variant covers have LGBTQ+ Star Wars fans hyped that Marvel is opting to showcase these characters, and hopeful that more representation — possibly even on the big screen — is on the way.
Scroll on through to check out all the covers and when you will be able to purchase them.
