Fortnite Reveals First Icon Series Skin for LGBTQ+ Person, Fans React

LGBTQ+ Fortnite players have something to look forward to — a new rainbow skin.

Popular content creator Chica is getting her own skin in the game as part of the Icon Series, an offering of outfits based on celebrities and popular streamers.

Chica, who is bisexual, shared the news to Twitter on Wednesday, alongside a video of an avatar wearing the rainbow-laced skin in action.

Her fans were thrilled about both the LGBTQ+ and Puerto Rican rep that the new outfit provides, and weren’t shy about saying as much.

Although Fortnite has long been considered an LGBTQ+ friendly game, and they’ve released skins representative of the community in the past, this is the first Icon Series skin for an out LGBTQ+ person. We’ll take the win!
