The fate of the Justice League star's standalone superhero flick is reportedly still up in the air...

Although it has already been in the works for what seems like forever, it looks like a standalone movie for The Flash is going to take even longer than expected, especially since the involvement of actor Ezra Miller is still up in the air...

Earlier this year, the Fantastic Beasts star, who played the iconic, speedy DC Comics hero in 2017's Justice League, found himself in extremely hot water after a viral video started making the rounds on the internet that showed him physically choking a female fan in Iceland. Rightfully so, many people were upset about the entire incident.

Since then, the fate of Miller's role (and his entire presence in any DC extended universe title) has been put into question, and though we haven't heard much about it in the past few months, with the recent news that longtime acting veteran Michael Keaton would be reprising the role of Batman for The Flash solo film, many are now asking for more clarification about Miller.

But according to the We Got This Covered blog, Warner Bros. is still preparing to make The Flash—with or without Ezra's involvement. Though nothing has officially been confirmed or announced yet, both WB and Miller have been unusually quiet in the weeks following the fan-choking scandal, and with an online, fan-driven petition already making its way across the web calling for Ezra's recasting, things aren't looking too certain...

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens...
