Ezra Miller is an artist of many talents, and it looks like the openly queer actor is now trying his hand at writing a script for The Flash's upcoming solo film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Fantastic Beasts star (who played the role of The Flash [civilian name Barry Allen] in 2017's Justice League) has teamed up with popular comic book author Grant Morrison to pen their own version of a script for a planned Warner Bros. project that centers around DC Comics' iconic high-speed superhero.

While we'd normally be excited AF about the fact that Ezra is writing a script, there's a little more to the story that makes all of this news kind of a bummer...
The reason Ezra is trying to write his own The Flash screenplay is that there are creative differences between him and the original writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, THR also reports. Daley and Goldstein (who were brought onto The Flash film in 2018) are trying to give the movie a more light-hearted tone (a la Aquaman), while Miller wants the story to be darker. If Warner Bros. ends up picking Daley and Goldstein's script over Ezra's, there's a possibility he might have to leave the project entirely (his holding deal on The Flash expires in May).
We hope Warner Bros. picks up Ezra and Grant's script. The opportunity for a queer actor to be the lead star in a mainstream superhero film is a huge one, and honestly, we wouldn't wanna see anyone else in the role!
