Becky G Is Excited to See How Trini's Sexuality Is Explored in 'Power Rangers' Sequels

The more LGBT superheroes, the better!

byraffy

In a recent interview with The Mary Sue, pop singer and actress Becky G went on the record to talk about how open and excited she is to continue exploring her character Trini's (aka the Yellow Ranger) sexuality in possible sequels:

"The truth is with something like that, you don’t just wake up and know. It’s a process. And so, as time goes by, if we make Power Rangers 2, 3, 4...I’m excited to see how she grows."

When the Power Rangers reboot premiered earlier this year in March, it made headlines for being the "first big-budget superhero movie to feature an LGBT protagonist."

Hopefully, Becky G's excitement comes to fruition, and more Power Rangers sequels are made! (Because who doesn't want more queer, female superheroes in their lives??!)
