Warrior Nun fans may have been in mourning ever since the show’s cancelation, but a bit of insight into a scene that was never shot is providing some respite.
Over the course of season two, Ava (Alba Baptista) and Beatrice (Kristina Tonteri-Young) continued their slow burn romance, with their feelings for one another finally being confirmed in canon in what turned out to be the series finale.
Showrunner Simon Barry recently shared script pages from the season two premiere that ultimately were never filmed, but that have left fans reading between the lines and calling out the gay longing that they came to adore
In the scene, Beatrice is waiting in Ava’s bed as the latter “sleeps in a tangle of bedsheets, limbs akimbo.”
Fans had no shortage of opinions about the scene, which only would have added to the tension between the two that permeated the entire season.
The same fans are still pushing for a miraculous season three save from another streamer, repeatedly getting #SaveWarriorNun to trend, circulating a petition, and even putting up billboards as part of their campaign.
Similar fan attempts have been met with mixed results in the past, but Warrior Nun devotees remain committed to their cause — and getting this little deleted scene as a treat will certainly only fuel the fire.
