Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change are headed to Springfield!
The RuPaul’s Drag Race alums are making their debut on The Simpsons in an episode airing New Year’s Day, according to an announcement that has fans of both worlds hyped for the crossover.
“We’re on The Simpsons, bitch!” Monét said in an exuberant video of the two shared by Bob.
Their foray into the world of cartoons will take place in episode 12 of the long-running show’s 34th season, titled “My Life as a Vlog.”
“Through a series of YouTube recommended videos, the story of the rise and fall of the Simpson family vlog is revealed,” reads the official synopsis.
How our beloved drag queens will play into this remains to be seen, but Simpsons writer Carolyn Omine gave us a sneak peek at the lewks the two will be rocking in the episode.
At a time when conservatives are taking particular aim at drag queens and the joy they spread with their larger-than-life performances, seeing Monét X Change and Bob the Drag Queen take the spotlight on a show so deeply integrated into American culture for literal decades is pretty incredible.
And the queens themselves are already eating it all up.
