We need season 2 NOW.

With seven incredible episodes, AMC's Interview With The Vampire has come to a shockingly bloody conclusion.

Based on the iconic 1976 novel by Anne Rice, the new series follows the stories of vampires Lestat de Lioncourt, Louis de Pointe du Lac, Claudia, and interview Daniel Molloy. If you're familiar with the 1994 movie featuring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, you might remember these characters, but AMC has reimagined this underworld for a new generation.

Minor spoilers ahead...

Set in the early 20th century, Louis is a Black man in New Orleans who struggles to navigate the pimp business in a white supremacist world. French vampire Lestat arrives in the city and immediately claims Louis as his companion, which devolves into a deliciously gay story of romance, art, plotting, abuse, and murder.

Louis is sharing his story with journalist Daniel Molly, but as he pokes holes in Louis' edited version of events, feelings begin to boil over. As the series goes on, Lestat's abusive nature becomes more and more apparent and Louis and his younger sibling Claudia begin plotting to escape the elder vampire's tyranny, so they hatch a plan to kill him. At the last second, Louis throws a hatch in the scheme and we get an explosive ending that blew viewers away Sunday.

It's a beautiful, shocking, and rare series and the reactions are just beginning to flow on social media.
