For The Love of DILFs just might be the queer dating chaos we deserve.
A new dating show for dudes is heading to television!
This week, Canada’s OUTtv announced For The Love of DILFs, a reality dating competition that queers up the heteronormative search for love we’re usually served up on these types of shows.
The show will bring together two groups of men, separated into the categories of “Daddies” and “Himbos,” as they try to find love with one another and compete in some way to win $10,000.
“For years, the internet has been obsessed with these two specific gay subcultures, which on the surface seem like total opposites,” production company Daddy TV’s co-founder, Topher Cusumano, said in a statement. “But if reality TV teaches us anything, it’s that sometimes opposites attract.”
Stormy Daniels, the bisexual porn star who drummed up some drama for then-presidential candidate Donald Trump back in 2016, will be hosting the show, as well as living with the contestants in a mansion to advise them on their relationships along the way.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Stormy,” OUTtv’s Philip Webb said. “She has a long public history of standing up for the LGBTQ+ community. That allyship, starpower, and relationship expertise makes her the perfect fit to helm a show about guys hunting for love.”
The competition part remains unclear, and “Daddies” and “Himbos” aren’t really what comes to mind when one thinks about gay subcultures, but more queer relationship drama is more than a welcome turn. The straights have dominated the messy realm of reality TV by default for too long; it’s time for the LGBTQs to reclaim our rightful place in the chaos at last!
For The Love of DILFs is expected to premiere sometime in 2023.
Stormy Daniels' real name is Stephanie Clifford.
Daniels is an adult film star who gained attention for claiming to have had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006.
