The yassification of New Orleans continues in the latest season of the beloved makeover series.

For seven incredible, heart-warming, and poignant seasons Queer Eye's Fab Five aka Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, and Tan France have been changing lives together through the power of makeovers — both inside and out. This month they return for another season in New Orleans to "jazz up the lives" of a brand new set of heroes.

A former nun (looking for love), the ultimate KISS fan, and deaf students who get the Fab Five are some of the people we will meet and who will receive the Queer Eye treatment when the hit Netflix series returns this month!

It's a bittersweet moment as this season also marks the last time we will see the Fab Five in this iteration as designer Bobby Berk announced in November that season eight would be his last. "It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon," wrote Berk on Instagram. "The love that I have received from you all over the last 6 years has been absolutely surreal. You have tuned in and been dedicated fans and together we were able to share the healing powers of design. I learned from you all about kindness, love, and acceptance and that has changed my life for the better. The way you have embraced me and accepted me for who I am is something that l will truly carry with me for the rest of my life," he added.

While there have been reports of a falling out between the cast members, one thing they are surely all celebrating was yesterday's Emmy win. Queer Eye took home an Emmy for Outstanding Structured Reality Program at the Creative Arts Emmys, for which a united cast hit the red carpet together.

Regardless of the off-screen drama, one thing is sure, there will be plenty of heart-warming drama when the show returns to Netflix on January 24.
