Here’s a Peek at Drag Race’s Kornbread in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show
RuPaul's Drag Race star Kornbread might not return to the next season of the hit reality competition series, but she has certainly caught pop icon Rihanna's attention.
The drag queen will have her moment in Rihanna's upcoming Savage X Fenty show and has shared a sneak peek on social media ahead of Volume 4's release on Wednesday.
"A lot of SAVAGE shit bout to take place," she wrote along with a photo.
Savage X Fenty has always been inclusive of LGBTQ+ and plus-size folks, and fans are hyped to see beloved face. "I can’t ducking waitttt" Season 14 winner Willow Pill wrote. "DAAAAAAAASS RIIIIIIIIGHT," wrote another friend.
Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Toliver, and Maxwell will perform. We'll also get appearances from Ángela Aguilar, Avani Gregg, Bella Poarch, Cara Delevingne, Damson Idris, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, Lara Stone, Lilly Singh, Marsai Martin, Precious Lee, Rickey Thompson, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Simu Liu, Taraji P. Henson, Taylour Paige, Winston Duke, Zach Miko, and more.
While we are happy for Kornbread, not everyone is fully on board with the lingerie show after it was revealed last week that controversial actor Johnny Depp will be spotlighted. As PRIDE has previously reported, "it immediately sparked backlash due to Depp's accusations of domestic violence by his ex-wife, Amber Heard, and the extremely public trial that took place earlier this year. While that trial was not about whether or not any abuse was actually perpetrated, a prior UK trial found that there was sufficient evidence that the actor had committed violence against Heard on at least 12 specific occasions, allowing for publications in the country to call him a 'wife beater' without retaliation."
Many fans are split on how they feel about Depp and following the reports like former collaborator and Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander who tweeted, "after this news I won’t be wearing [the brand] anymore." Once the special actually drops on Wednesday, we'll see how the public reception changes.
Volume 4 of the Savage X Fenty show premieres November 9 on Amazon Prime. Watch the trailer below:
