Volume two of Netflix's docuseries following the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just dropped and with it, we got a rarely-seen exchange between Markle and the true queen: Beyoncé.
Harry & Meghanis six-part documentary series that explores the span of their relationship, including the couple's split from the royal family. This particular moment follows the aftermath of their 2021 interview with Oprah where they opened up about the estrangement, shared mental health struggles, and spoke on their experiences with racism.
Following the interview, Markle revealed that Queen Bey reached out to her.
“Beyoncé just texted me,” she says excitedly in the documentary.
“Shut up,” Harry replies, then does jazz hands into the camera.
“I still can’t believe she knows who I am.” After the two debate calling her, Markle reads Beyoncé's text aloud. “She wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability, and she thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”
Fans are obsessed with the moment. "ACTUAL ROYALTY was literally shocked that Beyoncé texted, that is power," one wrote.
Netflix revealed that the documentary has garnered 81.55 million viewing hours globally, making it the streaming service's biggest documentary debut yet.
