Lee Pace Bares It All For Fight Scene On 'Foundation' Season 2

The upcoming season is a master class in the importance of knowing your audience.

Someone at Apple TV+ did their homework and knows its audience very well.

The streaming service is about to drop the second season of its sci-fi series, Foundation, which is an epic saga following a group of exiled people breaking the rules to save the Galactic Empire from destruction. The show itself is based on books by Isaac Asimov and has a complex take on hard science fiction that's been hit-or-miss with viewers, but it does give us the incredibly sexy Lee Pace as its main star.

Despite his presence, the show has been somewhat of a hard sell to audiences. For season two, producers knew they’d have to level up if they wanted to bring more people along for the ride.

Their answer was to release a two-minute action sequence with Pace’s character, Brother Day, all sweaty and completely naked in all of his glory, fighting for his life against robotic assassins. Sound too good to be true? Check it out for yourself in the video below.

Of course, the clip has sent the internet into a frenzy, and we’re all obsessively watching the scene over and over, zooming in whenever it is appropriate or necessary. It seems the show was determined to strip Pace down to his birthday suit, and we’re all hoping this clip is but a taste of the nudity we’ll get to enjoy throughout the second season.

As far as what to expect from this season, Apple TV+ wrote in a statement:

“More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in Foundation season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy the Empire from within. Hard, Gail, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war within the Empire.”

If you are still behind on season one of Foundation, check out Apple TV+'s official recap video below.

Foundation season two premieres Friday, July 14 on Apple TV+
