This sounds like EXACTLY what Generation Q needs.

The L Word: Generation Q is calling Fletcher up to bat for the new season!

Although details are scarce at the moment, it was announced yesterday that the singer would be stopping by season three of the revival series.

“It’s official,” she wrote. “#TheLWord needed more drama for Season 3…so they invited me to be on it. we did it fam.”

She then shared a video compilation of tweets ranging from hoping for her to guest star on the show to gasping about her song “Bitter” being featured in a previous episode to joking about how all the recent relationship drama surrounding her debut album feels like an episode of The L Word already. And it all culminated in exactly what so many fans wanted — a picture of a trailer on set with her name on it.

Much to her own apparent surprise, Fletcher kicked off some drama of her own earlier this summer when she released a song called “Becky’s So Hot,” a complimentary banger about how her ex-girlfriend’s new girlfriend is so attractive that she can’t even be mad about them dating.

The ex (YouTuber Shannon Beveridge) and the new gf (Becky) could have easily basked in the attention, but instead opted to hit back at every turn, ramping up the drama while their own fans ragged on Fletcher for, uh, writing about her life.

“The thing with the name Becky is it’s a pop trope,” an unbothered Fletcher pointed out. “People have been using names in music forever, right?”

Regardless, it was this back-and-forth that contributed to fans musing about her potentially ramping up the drama on Gen Q, which has been decidedly less chaotic than the original in its first two seasons, for better or for worse depending on your personal preference.

The singer joins other queer faves such as Kehlani, Margaret Cho, Joey Lauren Adams, and Joanna Cassidy as the current slate of guest stars for the upcoming season, which premieres this November.

In the meantime, you can stream Fletcher’s debut album, Girl of My Dreams, and catch up on the first two seasons of The L Word: Generation Q on Showtime.
