The upcoming Showtime series is going to give us a very steamy history lesson.

Is it getting hot in here or is the new Fellow Travelers sneak preview just making us sweaty?

We still have a little over a month to wait for the highly-anticipated series to drop on Paramount+, but a new sneak preview was released today that has us salivating.

Billed as an epic love story and political thriller, the decades-spanning limited series starring Matt Bomer (The Normal Heart, The Boys in the Band), and Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton) follows the romance between two closeted men who meet in McCarthy-era Washington. According to the official synopsis, “Bomer plays charismatic Hawkins Fuller, who maintains a financially rewarding, behind-the-scenes career in politics. Hawkins avoids emotional entanglements – until he meets Tim Laughlin (Bailey), a young man brimming with idealism and religious faith.“

In the brand new sneak preview released today, we see a scene between Hawkins and Tim where they’re flirting while discussing their political machinations and we’re blessed with the images of Tim sitting in Hawkins’ lap and then begging at his feet.

The scene is so casually steamy that we are now DYING to see the premiere of the show. Lucky for us it’s set to make its streaming debut on Paramount+ with Showtime on Friday, October 27!

1. Gay Actors Playing Gay Characters

Showtime

Both Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey are out gay men playing queer characters and we think the authenticity shows in their performances.

2. The Undeniable Chemistry Between The Two Leads

Showtime

These two sizzle in ever scene they are in together!

3. Hawkins Ordering Tim To Take His Jacket Off

Showtime

The sneak peak begins with Hawkins ordering Tim to "take off your jacket." The line, said in Matt Bomer's deep, sexy voice, makes us weak in the knees.

4. Hawkins Unbuttoning Tim's Shirt

Showtime

Tim sitting in Hawkins' lap while he slowly unbuttons Tim's shirt is sexy and intimate without ever being explicit.

5. The Men Showing Off Their Dom/Dub Relationship

Showtime

At the end of the sneak peak, Tim says, "I'm your boy, right?" before getting on his knees in front of Hawkins and saying, "And your boy wants to go to the party." Hawkins answers, "How much does he want to go?" The scene cuts to the title card then, but we can't wait to see the full scene play out!
