Fans Think An 11th Queen Has Been Edited Out Of Drag Race UK Season 5
An 11th queen on ‘Drag Race UK’ season 5!?
Some fans are absolutely convinced that an 11th queen featured in the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season five was completely hidden and edited out of the premiere episode that aired Thursday, September 28 on the BBC and WOW Presents Plus.
The official cast of Drag Race UK season five announced a total of 10 contestants. However, many fans have been finding that weird considering that seasons two, three, and four of the series featured 12 queens. Rumors started even before the fifth season started – ranging from two queens testing positive for COVID-19 to being disqualified as a result of misbehavior.
As the premiere episode of season five aired, a 12th queen was nowhere in sight. Alas, fans are now even more convinced that an 11th contestant was indeed in the werk room (but was edited out of the episode) due to certain scenes where it appears that there’s another queen on set.
During an interview with Danny Beard to promote her new series The After Shave with Danny Beard on WOW Presents Plus, PRIDE asked the season four winner if she was aware of the online conspiracy that there was an 11th queen in the werk room of season five.
“I don't know what you're talking about,” Danny replied. “I think one thing that's important, regardless of any rumors and drama, is that we've gotten queens on this season. They've put their heart and soul into it.”
The season four winner added, “If this was my premiere episode, I'd want people to be talking about me and my sisters and how well we've done. Not whether there's another queen there that's been deleted or not. And hopefully these rumors will move on as the queens grow in people's lives and how much people fall in love with them. I think we should focus on the girls that are on screen that we can see him fall in love with.”
