All Stars 8 has extra special celebrity guests and a brand-new twist that will leave you gagging.

It’s almost time for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 to begin, and we’re starting our engines to watch a brand-new season of fan-favorite returning queens.

The star-studded group of celebrity guest judges who’ll be featured on All Stars 8 include Bowen Yang, JoJo Siwa, Idina Menzel, Zooey Deschanel, Matt Rogers, Maude Apatow, Brandon Boyd, Thom Filicia, Javicia Leslie, Ego Nwodim, Adam Shankman, and Robin Thede. Much like season 15, the lineup of recurring judges will include Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, and Ts Madison.

But the exciting new additions don’t end there! Besides the main All Stars 8 competition where the 12 returning queens will vie for a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame and the grand prize of $200,000, there will now be a separate competition known as the Fame Games.

This season, the eliminated queens will be able to show their runway looks every week in the Untucked episodes of All Stars 8, where they can ask fans to vote for them in the Fame Games. Ultimately, one of these eliminated queens will be crowned the “Queen of the Fame Games” in the end, which comes with a cash prize of $50,000.

The Fame Games twist is an absolutely exciting addition to All Stars 8 that puts some of the power directly in the hands of the fans.

On the all-winners edition of All Stars 7, Raja won a second-tier cash prize of $50,000 that was competed among the four queens who didn’t qualify for the lip sync smackdown for the crown. It seems like the Fame Games twist is meant to replace that second-tier prize for All Stars 8 – but instead of having the queens lip sync for it, fans will now get the opportunity to vote for their favorite.

Let the Fame Games begin, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 premieres Friday, May 12 on Paramount+.
