In episode 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8, all of the eliminated queens came back to perform at the Fame Games Variety Extravaganza. The first queen in the lineup was Monica Beverly Hillz, who lip synced to a song that included the lyrics “Not a soul can clock.”
Even though most Drag Race fans did understand what Hillz was singing about, they also quickly realized how the lyrics of the song could be misheard as “Not a soaking clock.” For some reason, this stuck with viewers and became an instant viral sensation in the form of memes all over social media. Even days after the release of episode 11, “not a soaking clock” is still trending as a hilarious meme on the internet.
This week, Jimbo and Kandy Muse will face off in the grand finale for a chance to snatch the All Stars 8, win $200,000, and enter the Drag Race Hall of Fame. Hillz, along with all of the other eliminated queens from All Stars 8, is currently competing in the online Fame Games – a twist announced by Mama Ru when the season first premiered. The winner of the Fame Games will receive a cash prize of $60,000.
While she was the first contestant to get eliminated this season, Hillz certainly gained some new momentum following her Variety Show performance, which could totally affect the results of the Fame Games in a significant way. Needless to say, we can’t wait to see how this turns out!
