Troye Sivan has been gearing up to release his third studio album, Something to Give Each Other, for months.
Anticipation started building with the release of “Rush” in July alongside a very sexy video in a song that’s essentially a euphemism for taking poppers during sex.
Ahead of the album release, Sivan posted an Instagram photo of the tracklist for it on top of a black and white naked photo of him, captioning the countdown of the final days before the album is available.
The album, split into Side A and Side B, consists of 10 songs, opening with an extended version of “Rush.” Other songs on Side A include “What’s The Time Where You Are?”, “One Of Your Girls,” “In My Room (ft. Guitarricadelafuente),” and “Still Got It.” Side B takes on “Can’t Go Back Baby,” “Got Me Started,” “Silly,” “Honey,” and “How to Stay With You.”
Sivan initially gained popularity on YouTube in the early 2010s as well as for his role as the younger Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the titular character in the Spud film trilogy from 2010-2014.
He released his initial EP “TRXYE” in 2014, which debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. He subsequently released two successful albums, “Blue Neighbourhood” in 2015 and “Bloom” in 2018.
Sivan came out as gay on his YouTube channel in 2013 and has since been a vital figure for the LGBTQ+ community, using his platform to spread messages of inclusivity and freedom.
Something to Give Each Other is slated to release on October 13.
