Taylor Swift's 10th studio album Midnights keeps surprising us in the best way.
Alongside the drop of 13 intimate new songs, the pop star announced each song would have an accompanying music movie, dropped the first video for "Anti-Hero", and even announced the release of seven more songs.
Swifties, do you have whiplash yet?
During an initial 40-second teaser, we got a flurry of images from unreleased music videos, many of which seem to be callbacks to prior Swift music videos. We also get a second of Swift laying in bed touching the back of a lover, and fans freaked out when they realized it was transgender model Laith Ashley. Now, the music video for "Lavender Haze" has been officially released.
As seen in the video, Ashley plays Swift's love interest in "Lavender Haze." Ashley, a model, dancer, singer/songwriter, and actor, has thanked Swift for being cast. Other Midnights music videos will also feature Jack Antonoff, Laura Dern, Mike Birbiglia, John Early, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Pat McGrath, Dita Von Teese, and the Haim sisters.
The Swifties keep winning!
