Some of these rankings weren't fun to unwrap!

The 2024 edition of Spotify Wrapped is here, and the most-streamed musicians of the year might shock you!

The streaming platform shared its top 10 most-streamed artists, albums, and songs in its annual Spotify Wrapped list for 2024. Quite a few icons for the gays snagged spots, like Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" as the most-streamed song in the U.S. and no. 9 globally. Furthermore, Carpenter's Short 'n Sweet album climbed to the no. 3 spot on Most-Streamed Artists Globally. Artists like Ariana Grande, Karol G, Lady Gaga, Kacey Musgraves, and SZA were also present in the rankings.

But even though it feels like 2024 was dominated by queer music and moments, Billie Eilish and Chappell Roan were the only two out musicians who appeared in certain lists for Spotify Wrapped this year. In fact, Spotify's high-profile U.S. Most-Streamed Artists ranking in 2024 featured zero (yes, zero!) out LGBTQ+ artists. The other shocking statistic from that top 10? Taylor Swift, who occupied the no. 1 spot on the list, was the only woman to appear in the ranking.
