P!nk is in the throes of a press circuit for her new album TRUSTFALL and isn't holding back on the celebrity gossip at all.
Earlier this week, she fueled rumors of a decades-long feud with her "Lady Marmalade" costar Christina Aguilera when she was asked about her favorite music videos and said that one in particular "wasn't very fun to make" because of "some personalities" on set. She then added, "Kim and Mya were nice," notably leaving out Aguilera's name. Fans took it as shade and caused so much of a stir that P!nk decided to address it on Twitter.
"Y’all are nuts. Xtina had sh*t to do with who was on that song. If you don’t know by now, I’m not 'shading' someone by telling it over and over and over what actually happened. I’m zero percent interested in your f*cking drama. If you haven’t noticed, I’m a little busy selling."
And her latest interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show has pissed off another set of fans. “Madonna doesn’t like me," the 43-year-old told Stern. "Some people just don’t like me… I’m a polarizing individual.”
The two appeared on a 2003 episode of Live with Regis and Kelly and according to P!nk, there was some tension.
“She tried to kind of play me on Regis and Kelly and… I’m not the one, so [it] didn’t work out.” When pushed for context, P!nk added, “She was such an inspiration to me, but it sort of got twisted around that I was, like, fangirling and was dying to meet Madonna. When, in actuality, she invited me into her dressing room."
According to P!nk, when Regis brought her out, he says "I heard you’re just falling over yourself backstage. How does it feel?" and she replied, "I thought she wanted to meet me."
But fans quickly resurfaced the video from the televised moment in question and it doesn't go down the way P!nk describes, though there is certainly some tension in the air that, without context, we would've just assumed were nerves. You can watch the two meet at the 8:12 timestamp in the video below.
Perhaps the moment P!nk is thinking of was edited out of the episode, or happened backstage? It's unclear, but regardless, P!nk made it clear on Howard Stern that “I f*cking love Madonna and I love her no matter what. I still love her.”
Regardless, the quote is spreading around online and Madonna fans are responding. "I’m so tired of all these supposed feminist female entertainers always attempting to vilify Madonna," wrote one.
Will P!nk be forced to respond to this rumor as well? Only time will tell.
