Scott Hoying from Pentatonix is back in action with a brand-new solo track that'll make you swoon! His latest musical masterpiece, "Parallel," just dropped, and we’re already obsessed.
Hoying had a hand in crafting this gem, co-writing the song alongside the talented Jon Levine. "Parallel" also serves as the title track from his upcoming EP, which is set to drop on July 28.
Behind the soulful tune comes a heartfelt story, as Hoying said the inspiration for "Parallel" struck when he and his fiancé, Mark Manio, spent an evening together, sprawled out on the kitchen floor, deep in conversation. In that magical moment, Hoying realized that he was truly in love.
Eager to capture the essence of their special connection, Hoying poured his heart into this epic track. He confessed, "We truly share endless qualities and navigate daily life in such a similar way. It feels like we're always perfectly in sync."
Hoying also gushed about his soon-to-be husband, saying, "I feel like the luckiest man in the world to get to marry him."
The music video for "Parallel" was directed by none other than Hoying himself. Shot against the breathtaking backdrop of Iceland's stunning scenery, this video takes you to another world.
That said, Hoying noted that it was “3 days of no sleep, trekking through rough terrain, hiking knee-deep in a suit through a river, standing away from a 1000-foot cliff, endless hours of driving around Iceland.”
In the end, however, he described the whole experience as fulfilling, magical, and totally worth it.
We couldn't agree more.
