New Music Friday: Songs You Should Listen to This Weekend (Oct. 21)

We haven’t had this big of a week in music for a very long time!
Today and over the weekend, LGBTQ+ fans of music will be devouring the many, many new releases of the week. First and foremost, Taylor Swift has just dropped her 10th studio album, Midnights, and the first single “Anti-Hero” is already a huge hit on social media. The album also includes standout songs such as “Lavender Haze,” “Karma,” “Snow on the Beach,” “Maroon,” and “Midnight Rain,” just to name a few.
Another huge release this week is Carly Rae Jepsen’s highly-anticipated new album, The Loneliest Time. The album had already been teased with singles like “Western Wind,” “Beach House,” “Talking to Yourself,” and “The Loneliest Time” featuring Rufus Wainwright. In the aftermath of the album’s release, fans have also been loving tracks like “Surrender My Heart,” “Far Away,” and “Joshua Tree.”
Tegan and Sara also made waves this week for releasing Crybaby this week, which features songs such as “F*cking Up What Matters,” “I Can’t Grow Up,” “Faded Like a Feeling,” “Yellow,” and “Smoking Weed Alone.”
In the meantime, BAYLI has just released a brand-new EP titled Stories II. Other standout releases include Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove’s collab “AMEIANOITE,” Cavetown’s “Frog,” ANTIBOY’s “One Love,” and Bronze Avery’s “Over (And Over).”
