These are the LGBTQ+ bops of the week!

LGBTQ+ artists and allies keep driving music forward and holding space within all kinds of different genres, platforms, and audiences. This is the time to stan queer musicians – and we have several great recommendations when it comes to talented artists releasing exciting new music.
This week, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 runner-up Lady Camden released a gorgeous new song and music video titled “Surrender” featuring season 11 winner and All Stars 7 legend Yvie Oddly. Addison Grace dropped their new single, “Pretty Girl,” along with a very sweet music video as well. Other awesome new releases this week include Fever Ray’s “What They Call Us,” Sophie B. Hawkins’ “Love Yourself,” and Johnny Manuel’s “The Others.”
There are artists who not only dropped new songs this week, but also new albums. Darren Hayes’ highly-anticipated Homosexual album is out today and includes tracks like “Let’s Try Being in Love,” “Poison Blood,” “All You Pretty Things,” and “Feels Live It’s Over.” In turn, Willow Smith dropped her latest album, Coping Mechanism, featuring songs such as “Maybe It’s My Fault,” “Curious/Furious,” and “ur a stranger.”
From drag performers to gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals to trans and nonbinary people, the LGBTQ+ scene in music is more exciting than it’s ever been. These artists are also managing to go more mainstream than they’ve ever been, which is a feat in itself.
