When it comes to music, it’s another great week to consume new albums and songs released by LGBTQ+ musicians and allies to the community.
This Friday, October 14, has been filled with exciting new releases within queer music. For one, Betty Who just dropped her highly-anticipated BIG! album featuring bops like “She Can Dance,” “Blow Out My Candle,” and “Big,” among others. Mykki Blanco also dropped their latest album this week, titled Stay Close to Music. The new LP features songs such as “You Will Find It,” “French Lessons,” “Family Ties,” and “Your Love Was a Gift,” to name a few. The British band Queen also teased its upcoming project, The Miracle Collector’s Edition, with a never-before-heard song featuring Freddie Mercury’s vocals: “Face It Alone.”
This week also includes great new releases like Thiago Pantaleão’s “Lambo,” Christine and the Queens presents Redcar’s “la chanson du chevalier,” and Jordy’s “I Get High.” All things considered, there’s great new queer music for all kinds of listeners out there.
