Demi Lovato recently announced she has a new single on the way, in the creepiest way possible.

The track, “Still Alive”, was recorded for the upcoming Scream VI soundtrack but will be dropping on March 3, ahead of the film’s March 10 release date.

While the song can’t be heard in its entirety, you can get a little sneak preview of the track, but you’ll have to go through Ghostface first.

Lovato shared the news of the new song on her social media, with a phone and link to where you can check out a sample of the song. Calling the number takes you to a recording of Ghostface (aka Roger L. Jackson) introing the single followed by a short sample of the song.

“Hello, Lovatic, do you like scary movies? What about your favorite artist’s song in a scary movie? Let me give you something to sink your teeth in,” says Ghostface.

“What’s your favorite scary movie? Still Alive 🔪3.3.23 https://t.co/dmYPTqlAUj”

When Scream VI heads to theaters the following week, the action moves from Woodsboro to a new locale: New York City. The survivors of Scream (2022) have left their small hometown hoping for a fresh start in the big city, where hopefully they can blend into the crowd. Of course, Ghostface, or perhaps an army of Ghostfaces, have no interest in leaving them alone, instead, they’re intent on tracking down the survivors one by one.

Courtney Cox returns, becoming the only original cast member to star in every film in the franchise, after Neve Campbell bowed out over pay disputes — Campbell called out the film studio for sexist pay practices. “And as a woman in this business, I think it’s really important for us to be valued and to fight to be valued,” she told People at the time.

Fan-favorite Hayden Panettiere is set to return, reprising her Scream IV role of Kirby Reed. In the trailer, she warns the rest of the cast that “this isn’t like any other Ghostface.” We can’t wait to find out what that means when the film premieres next month.

In meantime, we can bop our heads to Lovato’s new bop.
