Is it a hit or a flop? Fans are torn.

Britney Spears and will.i.am just dropped their latest collaboration, “Mind Your Business.”

Opening with Spears repeating “mind your business, bitch,” followed by a lot of “where she at?” and “there she go,” the song is clearly about frustration with paparazzi. The hounds are called out specifically in the second verse with the lyrics “Uptown, downtown, everywhere I turn around / Hollywood, London, snap-snap is the sound / Paparazzi shot me, I am the economy / Follow me, follow me, follow me, follow, follow me.”

It’s a topic pop stars have often sung about, and Spears herself has frequently created music related to the experience of fame.

Considering how little music she’s released since her 2016 album Glory, hype was high for “Mind Your Business,” and to some, it ultimately didn’t quite live up to expectations.

But other people were fully on board, ready to embrace the beat.

It’s definitely the kind of song that feels like it will jive well with viral TikToks and fancams across the internet, and hopefully it’s only the start of more music from the ‘00s princess of pop.

Next up, however, Spears has her memoir, The Woman in Me, coming out in October. And a jukebox musical featuring her songsopened on Broadway just last month.
