Bad Bunny is on a serious winning streak.

Spotify recently released stats on the most streamed artists of the year on its platform, and Bad Bunny topped the charts for the third year in a row, making him the first artist to do so.

Globally, his songs had more than 18.5 billion streams on Spotify in the past 11 months, and his album “Un Verano Sin Ti” was the most streamed album in the world. Two of his songs, “Me Porta Bonito” and “Titi Me Pregunto,” also ranked among the top five most streamed across the world.

He fared similarly well on Apple Music, with the same two songs making their top five most streamed list and his album not only being the most streamed of the year, but the biggest Latin album of all time on the platform.

“When I started, I didn’t have a global fan base,” he told Apple Music after being named their Artist of the Year. “I’m grateful for everything I’ve accomplished and everything I’ve experienced. The Latin music movement has grown so much. I would never take full credit or say, ‘It’s because of me.’ No, it’s every one of us. A whole generation. Our energy and presence is always felt.”

On Spotify, Taylor Swift was the second most streamed artist of 2022, with Drake, The Weeknd, and BTS filling out the remainder of the global top five. Harry Styles also made a splash with “As It Was” racking up 1.6 billion streams, making it the most-listened to song on Spotify throughout the year. His new album, Harry’s House, also pulled in second globally for the most-streamed album.
