The trailer for A24’s new sports biopic is finally here and it’s everything we were hoping for!
The Iron Claw stars Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White—who both clearly spent a lot of time in the gym to prep for their roles—as two members of a famous wrestling family. White stars as Kerry Von Erich and Efron as his brother Kevin Von Erich, or the "Golden Warrior," both members of the real-life Von Erich wrestling dynasty.
Holt McCallany (Mindhunter) stars as the men’s father Fritz Von Erich, a 23-time world champion who made a name for himself by creating the “Iron Claw” wrestling move. “Based on a true story, the film follows the rise and fall of the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day,” the official synopsis from A24 reads. The film was written and directed by Sean Durkin (The Nest) and also stars Lily James, Maura Tierney, Harris Dickinson and Stanley Simons.
If you were obsessed with Allen’s forearms in The Bear or have been ogling the shirtless photos of Efron as he bulked up for this role then this trailer is going to give you everything you’re looking for!
The Iron Claw opens in theaters on December 22.
Since the film centers around wrestling, the trailer is full of bare chested men, including Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White who are both show off their incredibly ripped bodies. We can't wait to see even more in when the movie premieres!
We love an '80s fashion moment! The hair, the big puffy sleeves and white suits make this wedding scene a treat for our eyes.
While this tight-knit family clearly goes through struggles, the love between the brothers is clear.
Okay, we know we already talked about the amazing physiques of the the lead actors, but it bears mentioning that the actors are muscular and glistening throughout the trailer.
This one is pretty self explanatory.
The professional wrestling costumes are so colorful and ostentatious This sequined robe with the big sleeves and pink feathers trim really makes us think that line between pro wrestling and drag is very thin—and we love that!
We can't wait for the film to drop so we can watch the heartwarming family scenes, the struggles they go through, and especially, the eye candy.
