Ghostface is back and he’s here to ruin your commute.

The Scream VI teaser is here and it looks genuinely terrifying. We can’t wait!

As of yet, very little is known of the plot of the sequel, beyond it following the four survivors of Scream V (minus one iconic Sidney Prescott) trying to move on from the killings by leaving Woodsboro and making a fresh start in a new town. But hey, this is Scream, and as the first five films taught us, Ghostface is only ever temporarily defeated. He will find you. He will follow you. He will want to know your favorite scary movie. You know, all that good stuff that makes us love Scream.

In the teaser, we see Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), and Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”) aboard a train, on what appears to be Halloween. They’re surrounded by people in costumes, when suddenly a familiar face — well, mask — pops out and begins approaching menacingly.

“In a city of millions, no one hears you scream,” text warns, and as Ghostface comes ever closer to finally grabbing Mindy (Savoy Brown) the trailer cuts to black leaving us gasping, and waiting to see the rest.

Scream VI also stars returning queens Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) in their legacy roles. This new chapter introduces Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving, as well.

Scream VI heads to theaters on March 10, 2023. Watch the teaser trailer below.

When is Scream 6 coming out?

Scream 6 is headed exclusively to theaters on March 10, 2023.

Will Sidney be in Scream 6?

No.

Is Scream 6 the final one?

Probably, due to the popularity of the franchise, it will likely continue after Scream VI. According to producer Kevin Williamson told Collider, “One of the wonderful things about Scream is that there’s a different killer in every film. There’s [Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, or Freddy Krueger], they don’t go away. And Ghostface changes with every movie, so we have an opportunity to change the motive, change the story, and we can always twist and turn it since it [the original Scream] was always meant to be a game-changer.”
