Fresh off the heels of Hulu's scripted series Pam & Tommy (and a Golden Globe nomination for said series), Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her own story.
Netflix is gearing up to release its own documentary titled Pamela, A Love Story. "An intimate and humanizing portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, Pamela, a love story follows the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career from small-town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist, and doting mother," the official description reads.
Directed by Ryan White and produced by Jessica Hargrave, Julia Nottingham, and Brandon Thomas Lee, the documentary is in Pamela's own words and with her creative input. This is a stark difference from the Hulu series and according to TV Guide, Anderson actually learned the show was happening while they were recording. "She was not involved in the creation, and the limited drama series was made without her consent," they report. "The documentary has her full involvement and is where she intends to set the record straight about the project, the stolen tapes, her love life, and her perception within the media."

Anderson is sharing an intimate and vulnerable side of herself in these photos and it's clear she's ready to bare all in the documentary. "I was very hesitant, but looking back, I feel empowered,” Anderson told Tudum about the upcoming doc. “And I hope that [my story] inspires people to have a great fucking time and not worry so much.”
She also added ominously, “When you’re not looking for love, it finds you. And I guess I’m easy to find.”
Pamela, A Love Story premieres January 31 on Netflix.
