More importantly, Eggers has gifted Hoult the opportunity to absolutely kill at a white elephant party one day when we've all forgotten he has the prosthetic.

What do you get the person who already has everything? Bill Skarsgård's prosthetic penis, apparently!

Actor Nicholas Hoult received a rather unorthodox wrap gift from Nosferatu director Robert Eggers, Hoult revealed recently in a video interview for Elle. Eggers mailed Hoult the penis prosthetic that his costar Bill Skarsgård wore while portraying Count Orlok, also known as the eponymous Nosferatu. "I have Count Orlok's prosthetic penis framed at home," Hoult told costar Lily-Rose Depp.

He was already intimately familiar with the appendage. Hoult also told Depp, "There's a scene where Bill Skarsgård is slurping my blood, and Robert Eggers asked, 'How was that for you?' and I said, 'I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg.'"

Hoult and the prosthetic clearly had a bond. So naturally, when production wrapped, Egger had it framed and mailed to Hoult's home. It's sweet, like how Viggo Mortensen bought the horse who played Brego after filming wrapped on Lord of the Rings (fun fact: he also bought the horse that played Asfaloth and gifted him to the Arwen's stunt double, Jane Abbot). It's totally exactly like that.

Then, tragedy struck. The frame broke while in transit, so not only would displaying the penis have to wait, Hoult was now stuck with the overwhelmingly awkward task of getting it reframed. Hoult took it to a frame shop, where the framer worked his magic, though he did have some questions when the job was done.

“He kind of didn’t even blink the first time, and then when I went back to pick it up, I think he had clocked how weird it was, what I was framing, potentially, like, this vampire penis?” said Hoult. "And he was like, 'Is this some kind of collector's piece?' and I was like 'Yeah...you could say that.'"

Hoult stars in Nosferatu as Thomas Hutter, the real estate agent unfortunate enough to find himself helping Count Orlok purchase a home in Hutter's town. Egger's film is a reimagining of the 1922 silent German Expressionist film of the same name, which itself is one of the most famous (and unofficial) adaptations of Bram Stoker's 1897 epistolary horror novel Dracula.

Nosferatu is available to view in movie theaters nation wide starting today, December 24. Watch Hoult and Depp's full interview below.
