Kit Connor, the star of Netflix's hit teen dramedy Heartstopper, is all set to star in the upcoming horror film One Of Us.
According to Collider, One Of Us is an allegorical thriller film that "will center around a devastated family who is grappling with the loss of a loved one at a funeral. But, the tragedy isn’t over yet as one by one, each family member begins to meet their untimely demise with Connor’s character left to pick up the pieces and solve the mystery before the entire family is wiped out."
The film is the debut of writer-director Stefan van de Graaff and will record in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Charlotte Hope (The Spanish Princess), Callum Woodhouse (The Durrells), Ian Beattie (Game of Thrones), and Siobhan Fallon-Hogan (Rushed) are also set to star in the film. We don't know much else about One Of Us, but it reportedly will start filming later this month. Perhaps we can expect a 2024 release date.
At just 19 years old, Connor has already starred in the Elton John biopic Rocketman, lent his voice as Pantalaimon in the fantasy series His Dark Materials, and more.
Connor is jumping into this new movie in the downtime of Heartstopper, which wrapped the filming of its second season in December of 2022. He will return as the titular character Nick Nelson alongside Joe Locke's Charlie Spring, whose romance swooned audiences around the world when it debuted on the streaming platform last year.
Season 2 will also include new characters: Bel Priestley will play Naomi and Ash Self will play Felix, two new friends of Elle's, while Thibault De Montalembert will be Stephane, Nick's father. Not much else is known about the upcoming season, not even the premiere date, but fans cannot wait for the show's release.
