Here’s the lowdown on the Down Low trailer!
The first Red Band trailer for the upcoming film Down Low starring Zachary Quinto and Lukas Gage was just released and it looks like a hilarious, sexy, and bloody good time.
The Down Low is billed as “an outrageous comedy about one wild night, a deeply repressed man, the twink who gives him a happy ending, and all the lives they ruin along the way.”
The dark comedy follows Gary, a sexually repressed gay man (Quinto), whose first sexual experience with a man is a happy ending from masseuse Cameron (Gage). Cameron opens up a whole new sexual world to Gary, but the two leave a trail of destruction in their wake—including a dead body!
It was written by Gage and Phoebe Fisher and directed by Rightor Doyle, and also stars Simon Rex, Audra McDonald, and mother Judith Light!
The Down Low will be available to buy or rent on digital on October 10. Keep scrolling to see the first-look images from the film that have us excited for its release!

The pair want to have a threesome so Cameron shows Gary how to use the apps and sets up a hookup that ends up going horribly wrong! “I am a cool, hot zaddy," Gary tells himself in the trailer.

Amongst all of comedy there are moments when Gary and Cameron seem like they're really connecting.
“I am like human poppers,” Cameron says in the trailer, “I open anyone up.”
“I am really glad I met you, even if multiple are dead because of it,” Quinto responds.

After the guy they invite over for a hookup ends up dead, the pair have to fire a cleanup guy from the dark web, played by a hilarious Simon Rex.

In the trailer, we see Cameron start to help the super-repressed Gary being to open up, accept his sexuality, and have a little fun.
“You’re the first guy I’ve ever been intimate with,” Gary explains to Cameron in the trailer. “I had a wife, she left.”
“I really don’t know what to say, I mean words of affirmation is not my love language,” Cameron responds. “It’s more like (gagging noises while miming double fisted blow jobs).”

When their hookup goes flying out a window and winds up dead, the pair have to scramble to deal with the dead body in madcap fashion that we suspect will have us rolling in our seats. Plus, the trailer alludes to their being more dead bodies which we assume our characters will have to try to dispose of without getting caught.

We won't know what transpires between the two main characters until the film is released, but the trailer and first-look images have us believing in the chemistry between the two leads—and we can't wait to see where it goes!
