Hallmark might be making moves towards inclusivity, but former Christmas movie queen Candace Cameron Bure wants everyone to know her new network is keeping it heterosexual for Jesus.

The Full House actress has been busy promoting the holiday lineup over at Great American Family, the new network run by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott after that dust up over same-sex brides in a Zola ad a couple years back. Bure is both starring in Christmas films there and serving as chief creative officer.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, she made it abundantly clear that GAC is going to be a Christian-centric network, and that she took issue with the way Hallmark had shifted over the years.

“I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians and love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment,” she said.

Bure just went ahead and said the quiet part out loud, then, adding that GAC “will keep traditional marriage at the core.”

In some ways, it might almost be a relief to hear the actress be so forthright and proud of the prejudice against LGBTQ+ inclusion, because it allows people to know exactly where she, and presumably the network, stand, and not have any false hope about it.

But it’s still infuriating to see that people have this mindset, especially those with the ability to influence viewers through their films.

Many fired back at Bure after the interview circulated, including One Tree Hill alum Hilarie Burton, who called out the homophobia for what it is.

Bure has yet to comment publicly, other than to continue promoting GAC and film herself leaving Christian prayer flyers on random cars in a grocery store parking lot.

It’s no wonder JoJo Siwa doesn’t like her.

Why did Candace Cameron Bure leave Hallmark?

Bure told The Wall Street Journal that Hallmark is “basically is a completely different network than when I started because of the change of leadership" and that she wanted to work for Christians who promote faith-based programming.

What does Candace Cameron Bure do now?

Star in Christian-centric Christmas movies for a network nobody has heard of and spread homophobia, apparently.

Is Candace Cameron Bure in a relationship?

Yes, Bure is in a heterosexual marriage with husband Valeri Bure.
