Looks like Cinderella and Prince Charming really did live happily ever after!
26 years after the Rodgers and Hammerstein film came out, R&B sensation Brandy Norwood and Paolo Montalban have reunited for the upcoming Descendents movie: The Rise of Red.
The beloved film starred Norwood and Montalban as the iconic power couple alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Bernadette Peters, Victor Garber, and the late Whitney Houston. We're just happy to see our favorite Cinderella and Price Charming still together!
The two are appearing in the new Descendents film as the parents of Malia Baker’s Chloe. According to Deadline, the film will follow "the story of Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe, Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter. When the tyrannical Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, polar opposites Red and Chloe must join forces and travel back in time to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path."
Kylie Cantrall will play Red in the film opposite Rita Ora as “The Queen of Hearts.” China Anne McClain, Dara Reneé, Ruby Rose Turner, Morgan Dudley, Joshua Colley, Melanie Paxson, Jeremy Swift, and Leonardo Nam also star.
The film is a musical, so perhaps we'll get a song out of Brandy and Montalban? This is the fourth Descendents film and will be released on Disney+. There's no premiere date just yet but it's excepted to premiere in late 2023.
