The upcoming gay romance is giving us life!

One of the most anticipated gay romances of the year is almost here!

Today we got a mouth watering trailer for All of Us Strangers, the new film starring Fleabag’s “Hot Priest” Andrew Scott and Normal People’sPaul Mescal. The two men play neighbors—a screenwriter named Adam (Scott) and the enigmatic Harry (Mescal)—who fall for eachother. As their relationship progresses Adam returns to his childhood home to find his long-dead parents (played by Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) alive and well and looking much the same way as they did 30 years ago.

The film is helmed by gay filmmaker Andrew Haigh who also adapted the film from the 1987 Japanese novel Strangers by Taichi Yamada. Haigh’s first film Greek Pete followed a year in the life of a London rent boy, but he really made a name for himself with his second film Weekend about a one night stand that evolves into more. He also directed the 2017 road movie Lean on Pete and created and directed episodes of HBO’s Looking.

Check out our favorite moments from the brand new All of Us Strangers trailer that made our hearts go pitter patter! The film will be released in theaters on December 22.

1. Falling In Love With A Neighbor—How Convenient!

Searchlight Pictures

Main characters Adam and Harry fall in love after meeting as neighbors. The convenience of having your love interest right next door would make life easier, but it would probably get pretty awkward if you break up. Hopefully we'll find out that Adam and Harry are in it for the long haul!

2. The Sexual Chemistry Between Andrew Scott And Paul Mescal

Searchlight Pictures

The chemistry between actors Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal is scorching! Director Andrew Haigh told Vanity Fair in an interview that he was going for realism in the sex scenes. “Here, I really wanted to feel the subjective nature of having sex and what it feels like," he said. "The nervousness and the excitement and the physical sensation of being touched by someone else, and what that does to you.”

3. The Intimate Touches Between Adam And Harry

Searchlight Pictures

Throughout the trailer we see Adam and Harry touching each other in casually intimate ways that had us swooning!

4. How Lovely It Would Be To Reunite With People You Had Lost

Searchlight Pictures

Part of the heart of the film is an exploration of what it would be like to find long-lost family members alive and frozen in time. The trailer makes it look like a sweet reunion, but we image there are likely emotional consequences too.

5. The Way Adam And Harry Speak So Openly While In Bed

Searchlight Pictures

The trailer gives us a glimpse at the intimate conversations between the two lovers in the after glow and we can't wait to see more!

All of Us Strangers premieres in theaters on December 22. Watch the trailer below.
