Things are heating up in the Palm Springs desert!

Blatino Oasis 2023 took place September 14-17 at the famed Canyon Club Resort in Palm Springs, California. It was an oasis for gay men of color and their admirers, and the event featured plenty of speedo-clad men embracing their identities and often each other.

NoRal apparel, the queer men’s body-inclusive fashion brand from Kentucky native LaRon Hickerson (Ron DuWayne), was on hand at the Blatino Oasis Fashion Show with bold designs that proudly and unabashedly celebrate the male figure. The fashion show took place September 16 at the frisky clothing-optional gay men’s resort, and it was DuWayne’s tenth anniversary showing off his designs at the Blatino fashion show.

“I call it ‘sewing therapy,’” Hickerson told Out Traveler in 2022, adding it was “the only way” he could endure the hardships of the global economic shutdown the previous years.
