The world is a dark place right now, but Gay Days offers a weekend long escape you don't want to miss!

If the world is getting you down and you need a little joy in your life, fear not because Gay Days at Disneyland is back and better than ever!

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the event that began way back in 1998 and it will take place from Friday, September 22 to Sunday, September 24. The annual event is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and attracts thousands of queer Disney fans every year. The celebration will include a scavenger hunt, a group photo, a lesbian ice cream social — yes please! — and group meet ups.

The weekend’s festivities will start on Friday with the opening of Gay Days Welcome Center/ Expo at the Grand Californian Hotel, but the real fun begins that evening with cocktails hosted by Disney PRIDE. But honestly, we’re most excited about the cabaret show starring Drag Race All Stars fave Alexis Michelle at 6 pm. The night will then close out with the comedy stylings of Zach Zimmerman.

On Sept. 23 Drag Race season 14 finalists Lady Camden and Daya Betty are reuniting and taking the stage with a brand new show. Then at 10 p.m. the House of Avalon’s show Sugartank: Gay Days will feature Symone and Season 12 runner-ups Gigi Goode and Crystal Methyd.

Don’t forget about the epic Gay Days Anaheim pool party, PLUNGE! on Sunday at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. And because this is a weekend full of drag, the event will close out with Varla Jean Merman’s performance of “Stand By Your Drag!”

In direct opposition to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ homophobic “Don’t Say Gay” bill, this year’s official shirt is emblazoned with the slogan “We Say Gay.” Although Gay Days isn’t officially sponsored by Disney, attendees are encouraged to wear red, or the official shirt, to help identify fellow queer parkgoers.

So grab your Mickey ears and go celebrate! For more details visit Gaydaysanaheiminfo.com.
