The Los Angeles leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has begun, and the first night had a special moment for one fan in particular.

During each show, Swift has a tradition of giving the hat worn in her performance of “22” to someone in the audience. On Thursday, that someone was 6-year-old Bianka Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s daughter.

Video captured of the sweet interaction showed the “Holy Ground” singer kneeling down at the edge of the stage to hug Bianka and place the hat on her head before giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Bianka was at the show with her sister, Natalia, and their mother, Vanessa, who shared a picture of their moment together on Instagram alongside the caption, “We love you @taylorswift !!!!”

She also showed off her jacket for the show, which featured “SWIFTIE” over an image of Swift and Kobe taken during The 1989 World Tour in 2015. The late basketball star had presented the singer with a banner at the Staples Center boasting the “most sold out performances.”

Gianna Bryant, Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter who died in the same 2020 plane crash that took his life, was a big fan of Swift’s as well, which her mother honored by sharing an old video of her and Natalia singing along to one of her songs.

Kobe praised Swift prior to his death, telling Newsweek in 2019 that she’s “been at the top of the game for a very, very long time,” but seeming more impressed with how she treated his children.

“She’s a sweet kid,” he said. “I mean she was a sweetheart to my girls before she even blew up and became Taylor Swift, so that’s why I like her.”
