“You cannot really hold a candle to a husband who is a world famous millionaire worth over $100 million,” said an inside source.

After six years of marriage, singer Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef are calling it quits.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, an inside source claimed that the couple had an “open marriage” that saw them “engaging in sex with other people” prior to their divorce. Alas, they have insisted that infidelity did not play a factor in the split. “Like many couples, Ricky and Jwan had an open relationship for most of their marriage. This worked for them, until it didn’t,” the source alleged.

The pal carried on to say the two had an “amicable” end to their marriage and are hoping to share custody of their four children, twins Matteo and Valentino, 14, whom Martin welcomed via surrogacy prior to their marriage, and Lucia, four, and Renn, three.

The couple announced their divorce in an Instagram post, which is also the platform where they met. In the statement, they thanked friends and family for their love and support.

As to what happens next, the source said, “Ricky will likely keep the house but Jwan will remain an important part of his life… He will be taken care of forever and will not have to worry about his finances.”

Even though the couple never publicly discussed their open relationship, Martin told Pink News in 2018 that he wanted to “normalize” relationships like this after playing the role of Versace’s partner, Antonio D’Amico, on American Crime Story.

In the bedroom, however, a source claimed that the two realized there was no longer any chemistry, saying: “Their passion turned into a friendship and the sex became barely non-existent.”

Sex aside, the source also eluded to Yosef feeling a “huge imbalance” between the two, telling the publication: “You cannot really hold a candle to a husband who is a world-famous millionaire worth over $100 million.”
