Want to see queer joy? Look no further than Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko, who are celebrating five years together.
Yesterday, Tilley took to Instagram to share an anniversary message along with a montage of adorable videos of the two of them.
“5 years ago, on this fateful day in April of 2018, I got invited to a birthday/album release party for @hayleykiyoko,” begins Tilley in the caption. “I hesitated to say yes because I was tired from the night before but @brittneylaurenn convinced me to rally and so we hopped in our minivan Uber (a good luck sign for us) and went to the party…. & the rest is 5 years worth of history. Hayley- there have been very few moments in the course of these 5 years that you haven’t been on my mind. I love you!”
The feeling is mutual. “The best five years ever!!!! I love you,” wrote Haley in the comments where friends and fans cheered on their love as well.
“Y’all are one of my favorite love stories ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for sharing all this joy,” wrote Jaymes Vaughn (who has quite a queer love story himself).
“I’m gonna cry. so so sweet,” added Chrishell Stause.
And IG user @Hinkleton asked the question we’re all wondering. “When’s the wedding hun”?
While Tilley may have once felt as though she had to keep their love on the DL, that’s no longer the case, as she said two days earlier in another gushy post directed to Kiyoko, this time for the singer’s (and author) birthday.
“Happy Birthday to my favorite person,” she began in the caption. “I’m so happy you were born because that was the very first step that we needed in order for us to meet 😂. I hope this year is full of everything you dream of because I don’t know anyone who is more deserving. You’re the best part of my day, every day (well… you & Phoebe) and I am SO happy that the birthday posts can now be celebrated out of the close friends story. I love you so much!”
