Maybe don't do this?

The trend of throwing things up onto a stage while a musician is performing has both prompted laughs and caused danger in the past, but one Pink fan recently took things to a whole new level.

During a show in London over the weekend, a fan tossed a baggie full of powder up onto the stage during a performance of one of the singer’s early hits, “Just Like a Pill.”

And that powder was apparently ashes, as in cremated human remains.

“This is your mom?” Pink asks as she picks the bag up in a video making the rounds on social media. “I don’t know how I feel about this.”

She then hesitantly sets the bag back down where it will be out of the way and gets back into her performance.

Fans watching the interaction play out later online have similarly not known what to make of the situation.

Spending a year or so locked inside our homes was a perfectly fine excuse for forgetting social decorum for a few months, but it’s 2023 now. It’s time to remember how to interact with other people in public spaces, and “do not throw things at celebrities,” whether those things are cell phones or someone’s ashes, seems like a really solid place to start.
