NSYNC awoke the teenager in all of us when all five members of the boy band reunited at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday night.
Justin Timberlake, 42, JC Chasez, 47, Joey Fatone, 46, Lance Bass, 44, and Chris Kirkpatrick, 51, took the stage together to present the best pop award to Taylor Swift.
While accepting the award, the pop diva outed herself as a die-hard NSYNC fan. "I had your dolls," she told the legendary boy band. "What’s going to happen now? They’re doing something and I need to know what it is. You’re pop personified."
Sadly, NSYNC won’t be reuniting for a tour or a new album, but seeing them all together again reminded us how obsessed we were with them when they were at the height of their fame in the late ‘90s and early 2000s.
Their hit songs like “Tearin’ Up My Heart” and “Bye Bye Bye” got endless air time and their music videos were a constant feature on Carson Daly’s TRL.
Teenagers across the country covered their walls in NYSNC posters and friends argued over which member of the boy band was the hottest. Even lesbians got in on it by crushing on Bass because of his somewhat androgynous features and his resemblance to a young Ellen DeGeneres back in the day. This kinship made more sense when the singer came out in 2006.
Seeing the boys decked out in suits for the VMAs reminded us just how cute and sexy they’ve always been. So let's take a moment to peep some pics of the boy-band members then and now!
