"The fact that this teenage actor who's coming in to make jokes about wearing a scarf is suddenly a target from an adult is crazy to me," she said.

Miss Benny, the breakout star of Netflix’s Glamorous, recently took to TikTok to share her thoughts on her experience working alongside Candace Cameron Bure in Fuller House. As the first gay character in the franchise, Miss Benny portrayed the role of Casey. However, in her candid video, she seemed to suggest that Cameron Bure may have exhibited homophobic behavior.

When a fan asked if Cameron Bure was homophobic, Miss Benny tactfully responded, "One of the Tanner sisters was very publicly... not for the girls, if that makes sense." She went on to reveal that she was approached by the writers and the studio, who warned her about this person's alleged attempts to have her queer character removed from the show. Furthermore, she was given a heads-up that this person's fan base might specifically target her.

Expressing her disbelief, Miss Benny stated, "The fact that this teenage actor who's coming in to make jokes about wearing a scarf is suddenly a target from an adult is crazy to me." However, she emphasized that she genuinely enjoyed her time on set, engaging with other actors who were open and receptive.

Reflecting on the overall experience, Miss Benny acknowledged that her involvement in Fuller House ultimately paved the way for her role in Glamorous. She highlighted the profound impact of her journey, saying, "So everything happens for a reason,” adding it “continuously blows my mind how queer people, specifically queer young adults and queer children, are being targeted and having to advocate for themselves against adults."

Miss Benny is not the first young star to voice concerns about Cameron Bure. Other individuals have previously called her out for her statements on "traditional marriage" for films in her network, Great American Family.
