Miguel Herrán first broke into the mainstream by appearing as Aníbal Cortés a.k.a. “Río” on the hit Netflix series Money Heist. He then also appeared as Christian on Élite, which solidified his popularity on a global scale.

Since starring in those TV projects, Herrán has been spending his energy on making a name on the big screen as well. Namely, the 26-year-old Spanish actor has appeared in films such as 2017’s The Invisible Guardian, 2018’s Some Time Later, 2020’s Sky High, and 2022’s Prison 77 – all productions hailing from Spain. Specifically, Herrán’s performance in Prison 77 garnered him several nominations in Spanish award ceremonies, and even a trophy for Best Actor at the 2023 Carmen Awards.

Though he has been hard at work starring in several different projects, it comes without saying that many audiences still remember Herrán for appearing in the queer-inclusive Élite series.
