The LGBTQ+ community has lost a true legend.
On Monday, October 24, TMZ reported that Leslie Jordan died at 67 years of age from a car crash while driving in Los Angeles. Law enforcement sources told the publication that they suspect Jordan “suffered some sort of medical emergency and crashed his BMW into the side of a building.”
As an actor and comedian, Jordan was best known for appearing in The Help, Sordid Lives, and Will & Grace. In recent years, he was also known for his roles on TV shows like American Horror Story and Call Me Kat.
Jordan also had a career resurgence as a social media sensation in 2020 for his hilarious videos staying at home and coping with the lockdown. For reference, he amassed 5.8 million followers on Instagram and 2.3 million followers on TikTok.
Jordan’s short videos on TikTok had also earned him over 20 million likes – which introduced this legendary comedian to a whole new generation of younger fans.

As expected, the LGBTQ+ community – and Hollywood as a whole – is completely heartbroken by the news of Jordan’s passing. Overall, his presence in film, television, and social media was always a ray of sunshine.
Our thoughts are with the family members, friends, and colleagues who were close to Jordan and are now in mourning. Rest in peace, legend!
