Jonathan Bennett and Jaymes Vaughan are gay love and joy personified! This is what couple's goals looks like.
Bennett, who is perhaps most famous for playing the super-grool Aaron Samuels in the 2004 film Mean Girls, is making his way to Broadway — and his husband couldn’t be happier!
Bennett is currently playing the role of Sir Robin, along with Guard 1 and Brother Maynard, in Spamalot on Broadway, something he says is a lifelong dream.
“I mean, it's a weird feeling when your dreams actually come true because I've dreamt about this moment since I was five years old and I get to step out on the stage this week and make my Broadway debut in Spamalot,” he told Broadway World. “You always hear of dreams coming true, but you never think that they would actually come true for yourself. This is a perfect example of that happening and saying, ‘Yes, they do.’”
Now, the 42-year-old actor has shared the moment that he told the happy news to his husband.
Bennett shared a video on his Instagram showing the happy moment when he sets up his camera, and asks his husband to come into the room, to which Vaughan at first asks Bennett to come into the bedroom where he is.
At first, Vaughan is worried, asking “are you okay?” when Bennett responds saying, “no, you come here.”
Bennett adorably can only whisper the news to his husband, who immediately starts to literally jump for joy when he says “I’m gonna be a Broadway.”
After a quick dance of joy, Vaughan runs to embrace his husband who is now crying over the news. And, suddenly, we’re crying too!
Bennett is appearing in
Spamalot on Broadway through April 28.
