Dan Benson Opened Up About Going From Wizards of Waverly To OnlyFans
Leaked nudes led to his career change.
Dan Benson first broke out as Zeke in the hit Disney Channel seriesWizards of Waverly Place. But his current gig is very different from the family friendly series. Today, Benson has become a star on OnlyFans, and over the weekend he opened up on TikTok about what led to his “tripping and falling” into his X-rated career change.
It all started with sending nudes, he explained. “Basically, when I was on the show Wizards of Waverly Place, I would get messages from people all the time, some of those being women that I found incredibly attractive,” he shared. “Turns out, messaging those women, who turned out not to be who they said they were, was not the best idea, because I would send nude photos to them and they would take those nude photos and then post them onto online websites.”
Eventually, those photos and videos ended up “all over the web,” which Benson understandably described as being very traumatic. “Obviously, I did not want them out there,” he said, adding that he fought to try and get all of the images and videos removed from the internet. “But, as you can imagine, that was a pretty difficult task. I ended up almost losing my job later in life because of that after I kind of retired from acting.”
Ultimately, Benson realized the best way to respond was to reclaim those images and videos for himself. “I decided to stop fighting against it and instead go the other direction and completely lean into it,” he shared. “Build out a page instead of letting these people sell my privacy. My... you know what I mean. I decided to say, ‘Alright, screw you I’m going to sell it myself.’ So I started that adventure last year.”
That’s thankfully been the right choice for the actor. “I’ve been having a tremendous amount of fun,” he revealed. “I’ve met a lot of really great people in the adult entertainment industry and it’s changed my life for the better.”
He is an OnlyFans star now.
